Slagelse Hospital has been using PRO100 since 2020 and has in 2024 decided to integrate the treatment deeper into pulmonary ward.
18 PRO100 devices are ready to manage oxygen therapy automatically, procedures for prescribing oxygen and discharging patients based on data from PRO100 have been updated and the clinical staff have been trained and certified in using the technology.
The next step is to treat respiratory patients who need oxygen therapy at home with O2matic HOT Connectivity . The first patients will be enrolled in week 44 and the new treatment will combine remote monitoring with automatic oxygen therapy at patients’ home.
Oxygen therapy at home is normally based on a fixed flow and at a low level to ensure patients do not get too much oxygen, which can have severe side effects. However, the latest studies show that providing the right amount of oxygen when needed by patients based on intelligent automatic oxygen therapy halves dyspnea and improves the mobility by 50% among COPD patients.
We are therefore proud to be the first company to CE mark the intelligent automatic oxygen therapy for home use.
This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Fund and Denmark’s Business Promotion Board within the implementation and scaling of welfare technology solutions.
